Summary
Lucas Systems is seeking an experienced VP Strategic Marketing (“VPSM”) to oversee all marketing operations for Lucas and to develop its global marketing strategy and vision, with the primary goal of driving revenue to meet aggressive growth goals.
Responsibilities include:

Play a primary role in helping Lucas achieve short and long term growth goals by developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive a high volume of qualified opportunities.

Work closely with Global VP of Sales and sales team to align and enhance efforts.

Collaborate with, and provide input to, Product Manager (new product ideas tied to market segments, product collateral, etc.).

Identify, define, and quantify target market segments, as well as strategic accounts within those segments, develop associated campaigns, and collaborate on win strategies.

Listen to and analyze the trends of the market and calibrate our marketing approach accordingly.

Build and enhance brand recognition, with messaging and positioning that vividly communicates Lucas’ key differentiators.

Own the marketing budget, with a metrics-driven approach that drives spending and channel optimization to hit growth targets efficiently and effectively.

Conduct competitive analysis and create associated win strategies.

Create a solid network of domestic and global strategic partnerships.

Support technical alliances by defining target markets for combined technical solutions and developing and executing collaborative marketing campaigns.

Enhance Lucas’ reputation as industry experts through collaboration with industry thoughts leaders and by attending and speaking at industry events to evangelize the Lucas brand.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master degree in marketing or related discipline; MBA preferred

10+ years of marketing experience, preferably global and in related industry (software or supply chain)

5+ years of marketing leadership experience.

Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive high growth.

Ability to be highly analytical and strategic, but also creative and hands-on, with attention to detail.

Highly effective communicator (verbal and written) comfortable in a collaborative, transparent environment.

Strong business and commercial acumen, with ability to think like a General Manager.
